Chuck Leavell
is a friend and a great supporter of
Reelin' In The Years. I can honestly say that if I hadn't met him after a nasty
run-in with the Spice Girls backstage at The Late Show With David Letterman
, I wouldn't be in the business I'm in today. Chuck is one of rock's finest
keyboardists; he plays with such emotion and class that it's obvious why he's
been with the Rolling Stones since 1982. His credits read like a dream team of
artists-- from Eric Clapton, George Harrison and the Allman Brothers to new artists
like the Black Crowes, Train and Richard Ashcroft of the Verve. In addition to
releasing great solo records, in 2003 he released an instructional DVD for which
we were proud to supply vintage footage, entitled Chuck Leavell Volume One
. This DVD, along with his albums, are available on his web site.

Besides being one of our dearest friends
in the world, his talent is amazing. Mark had an album released on Bizzare/Straight
back in 1991, but his career has been going strong for 25 years. You can order
material from his site, which is highly recommended. Remember, just because it
isn't a hit doesn't mean it's not amazing: "My Generation" by the Who,
a song we all know, stalled at #74 on the Billboard charts. When you email Mark
be sure and ask about him being on the Gong Show (no he didn't get gonged, just
an "8" from Jamie Farr).at erial from his site, which being on
the Gong Show (no he didn't get gonged, just an "8" from Jamie Farr).

Eve
Selis is one of the very best up-and-coming alternative country singers.
To watch her perform is truly mesmerizing. Her band is stellar with a twin guitar
attack that would make the Allman Brothers proud; the two guitarists play licks
ranging from the deepest rock & blues to the most authentic twang of country.
Eve's latest album Nothing But The Truth was released in 2004 on
Proper Records and can be ordered from her web site.

Jeremy's
Heroes is Reelin' In The Years favorite charity. RITY founder David
Peck was in New York City on 9-11 and was supposed to have been on Flight 93 (the
flight that crashed in Pennsylvania ). Jeremy Glick was one of the four who fought
back on that fateful flight and in his loving memory, his family founded Jeremy's
Heroes. The organization is designed to provide financial support and assistance
to school-age children to encourage their ability to participate and succeed in
athletics. The Glick family are truly special people trying to honor the memory
of a loved one while helping others less fortunate, so please visit their site
and help out if you can. | |

“What turns you on, baby?
The Electric Prunes? The Yardbirds? The Pretty Things? The Kinks? There's only
one go-to cat. David Peck is the man. He's gone, he is the coolest of the cool.
I mean he swings, baby. You dig?" -- Little Steven Steven
Van Zandt has been a great supporter of Reelin' In The Years, even going
as far as to host our 20-minute demo DVD. In addition to working with Bruce Springsteen,
he wrote some great songs for Southside Johnny in the mid-to-late 70s and had
his own solo career with Little Steven & The Disciples Of Soul. These days
most people recognize him as “Silvio” on the HBO hit series The Sopranos .
For the last three years Little Steven has also been hosting his nationally syndicated
radio show called Little Steven's Underground Garage and hipping the
world to music that's usually way too cool for the airwaves . Dig
it! | www.billwyman.com
Bill Wyman
has been a great supporter of our American Folk Blues Festival DVD series including
writing the forward for the first two volumes. The entire world knows Bill as
a founding member of the Rolling Stones and as one of the greatest bass players
of all time, but what's not as well known is that Bill is also a noted Blues Historian.
Bill Wyman's Blues Odyssey (the book and DVD documentary) are both indispensable
for blues fans. Written in collaboration with our good friend Richard Havers,
Blues Odyssey tells the history of the blues in a way that only a member
of the Rolling Stones could. | |
