AC/DC
- Family Jewels
What kind of company would we be if
we weren't down with AC/DC? RITY contributed seven songs to this AC/DC compilation
released in March 2005 - the cream of the crop from the ABC (Australian Broadcasting
Corporation) program Countdown. From 1975 are performances of Baby
Please Don't Go and T.N.T. , from 1976 are performances of Dirty
Deeds Done Dirt Cheap , Jailbreak and two different versions of
It's A Long Way to the Top (If You Want To Rock ‘n' Roll) featuring
Bon Scott on bagpipes filmed outdoors in Melbourne (one with the band on a flatbed
truck), plus from 1977 a great version of Dog Eat Dog . We went back
to the vaults to find the original master tapes (before the graphics and subtitles
had been added) and restored them to make these performances even richer. Our
AC/DC holdings go all the way back to the embryonic days of Fraternity (with Bon
Scott) and Geordie (with Brian Johnson), but Family Jewels features
our best stuff from one of their greatest eras. If you're an AC/DC fan, this one's
the mother lode.

Marc Bolan & T-Rex- Born To Boogie
Finally out on DVD! This beautifully remastered, 2-disc release of the 1972 theatrical film Born To Boogie captures one of the most underrated rock icons of the early 70s at the height of his powers. Originally shot by Ringo Starr for Apple Films, Born To Boogie features two complete T-Rex concerts with cameos by Ringo, Elton John and others. Included is a bonus disc filled with numerous extras including more than an hour of live footage and interviews. RITY was thrilled to contribute the earliest known performance footage of Marc Bolan from 1967 (back when the band was still named Tyrannosaurus Rex): an acoustic version of "Sarah Crazy Child." We also contributed an insightful interview with legendary underground British radio DJ John Peel. T-Rex was a groundbreaking group and Marc Bolan was the first glam superstar, influencing an entire generation of rock frontmen. Born To Boogie does a great job of showing what all the fuss was about. |
Elvis Costello- The Right Spectacle- The Videos
RITY contributed ten songs to this long-awaited Costello compilation. From the Netherlands program Countdown are 1979 performances of "Watching The Detectives", "You Belong To Me", "Oliver’s Army" and "Accidents Will Happen". We went back to the vaults to find the original source tapes (before the graphics and subtitles had been added) to make these performances even richer. From the British program Revolver are 1978 versions of "This Year’s Girl" and "Radio Radio", while from the Swedish program Mandagsborsen are 1983 renditions of "Big Sister’s Clothes" and "Peace In Our Time". Lastly, from Holland’s 1979 Pinkpop Festival come "Lipstick Vogue" and "Watching The Detectives". For these last two performances we synced up the two track audio masters from the radio library with the pristine three-camera video creating a great true-stereo viewing experience. The DVD also includes commentary by Elvis himself and will occupy a hallowed place in any Costello fan’s collection. RITY was honored to provide the lion’s share of the clips for this great release.
| The Police - Synchronicity Concert
RITY is proud to have licensed footage to the international release of 'The Police - Synchronicity Concert' - the stunning live-in-concert live DVD extravaganza filmed during the Synchronicity World Tour in November 1983. Exclusive to this DVD are the 4 previously unseen multi angle tracks – Synchronicity II, Roxanne, Invisible Sun and Don’t Stand So Close To Me. As an additional treat, the DVD also includes the original concert trailer and a rare, RITY-supplied interview with the band on Australian Broadcasting Corporation's famed Countdown, in Melbourne, Australia 1984, at the final concert on their Synchronicity World Tour, which turned out to be their last ever Police concert. It's interesting to hear that they thought they would merely be taking a short sabbatical.
Twenty-two years later, this spectacular concert has never sounded better. For the very first time on DVD, the audio has been remixed in 5.1 Surround Sound, and includes three different audio soundtracks including dts, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, and 2.0 Dolby Digital Stereo.
Originally directed and edited by Godley & Crème, this energetic and power-packed live concert brilliantly captures the Police at the height of their success, when Synchronicity ruled airwaves and the trio were one of the biggest bands in the world. |
