Reelin' In The Years Productions LLC is
the largest music footage library in the world, housing over 10,000 hours of performances
from all genres of music covering the last 50 years. We exclusively represent
the rights to all of the music footage contained within 30 television stations
throughout Europe, Australia and Japan and are able to license that material to all
forms of media. Our music footage library runs the gamut from intense, full-length
concerts to in-the-studio live and lip-sync performances. This constitutes the
lion's share of our archive. However, we also possess many interviews with the
performers, as well as a wide variety of b-roll footage, which is perfect
for utilizing as supplemental material on a DVD/home video release. In addition
to our visual library, we also have over 2,000 concerts and in-the-studio live
performances recorded for radio that span the last 40 years. Most of the footage
and radio recordings in our library have never been seen or heard by the world
at large; our library is unique in the fact that most of the performances contained
within were only ever broadcast once or twice in the country of origin. In many
cases these performances were never broadcast at all. In
addition to licensing short clips for documentaries, Reelin' In The Years Productions
has also been involved in creating product and releasing whole performances from
our archive. In 2003 we released The American Folk Blues Festival 1962-1966
Volume One and Volume Two on DVD in partnership with Experience Hendrix
through Hip-O/Universal Music. Released to almost unanimous critical acclaim from
the press, the series was nominated for a GRAMMY Award in the category of Best
Long Form Music Video, and received The Blues Foundation 's prestigious Keeping
The Blues Alive (KBA) award in the Film category. August of 2004 saw the release
of The American Folk Blues Festival 1962 - 1969 Volume Three and Blues
Legends: Memphis Slim & Sonny Boy Williamson on DVD, as well as the DVD
release of Soul To Soul, the historically significant concert film from
1971. Filmed in Africa, Soul To Soul features performances by Wilson Pickett,
Ike & Tina Turner, Santana, and the Staple Singers and includes a remastered
soundtrack CD as well as numerous other bonus features. November 2004 saw the
DVD release of Ike & Tina Turner - The legends live in '71 through
Eagle Rock Entertainment. This DVD also includes a bonus CD with 60 minutes of
performances from the concert including songs not on the DVD. Additional
footage from the Reelin' vaults has also been prominently featured in other notable
releases. Unseen performances of the Jimi Hendrix Experience from Sweden
were featured on the Jimi Hendrix DVD Experience (certified gold approaching
platinum) while performances from Australia and Europe contributed to the mult-platinum
Led Zeppelin DVD. Footage from the Reelin' Vaults was also featured in
DVDs released by The Jam, Dusty Springfield and Roy Orbison, documentaries such
as Tom Dowd And The Language Of Music and The Mayer Of Sunset Strip,
and the movie Vanilla Sky. Reelin'
In The Years Productions is happy to work with any and all parties to officially
license and release both audio and video performances from within our unique and
massive archive. We are very clearance conscience and we insist that all parties
are on-board for any potential audio/video releases that utilize our material.
With more material being discovered each day we are constantly expanding our horizons
of what we can present to the world of home video and audio entertainment.
