to the world’s largest library of music footage!
Reelin’ In The Years Productions (RITY) was founded in 1992 with the goal of preserving music performance footage from around the globe and making it available for licensing to the entertainment industry. Over the course of the last two decades RITY has amassed the world’s largest library of music footage housing over 20,000 hours of material from the last 60 years. The archive runs the gamut from full-length concerts to in-studio live and lip-sync performances. We also possess many interviews with the performers, as well as a wide variety of b-roll footage. At present, RITY represents TV stations and companies in England, Australia, Germany, Holland, France, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Finland, New Zealand, Switzerland as well as the music performances from such legendary American television shows as The Jack Benny Specials and The Red Skelton Hour. To date we represent over 45 companies, from major TV networks to smaller archives of home movie footage of individuals who filmed some of the most important concerts and events in music history.
While we’re recognized as a world leader in music footage, with our recent representation of the daily talk-show The Merv Griffin Show (1962 – 1986), we are now able to license over 2,500 hours of other significant forms of footage such as in-depth interviews with the 20th century’s icons of Film and Television, Politics, Comedy, Literature, Art, Science, Fashion and Sports.
Another recent acquisition is an archive of hundreds of hours of Hollywood screen tests from the 1980s–1990s featuring many major celebrities before they were stars.
Whether you’re looking for music footage from The Beatles to Beyonce or historical & entertainment footage from Dr. Martin Luther King to Jerry Seinfeld, we have the perfect footage for your project.
